Nanda

Researcher and Public Engagement Assistant

Nanda joined the Migration Museum in 2021 and currently works as a freelance Researcher and Public Engagement Assistant. Her role spans exhibition research and supporting public engagement across the Museum’s programmes. Through this work, she contributes to how migration histories are researched, interpreted, and shared with audiences in thoughtful and accessible ways.

With a background in English Literature, Creative Writing, and Social Anthropology, Nanda’s wider practice sits at the intersection of research, material culture, and Black diasporic history. She is also an artisan working with ceramics, using clay as a way to explore Black feminist theory, folk traditions, and practices of remembrance. Her work is driven by an anti-racist approach and a commitment to expanding how Black histories are represented within the heritage sector.
