Veronica Sarmiento

Gallery Supervisor

Veronica first joined the Migration Museum as a volunteer in 2018 supporting the education programme. Following her undergraduate studies in Ancient History and French at Cardiff University, her interests in learning and engagement in museums have led her to roles at Historic Royal Palaces and the Museum of London and she was part of the 2019-2020 cohort of Young Freelancers at London Transport Museum. She currently works in community engagement for a third-sector organisation in Tower Hamlets and continues to freelance in museums. As a London-born Colombian, Veronica is passionate about working on projects that highlight the stories and voices of underrepresented migrant communities in the UK and having grown up in Lewisham, she brings a local perspective to her work at the Migration Museum.
