Assunta Nicolini

Assunta has focused her academic studies on migration and conflict with extensive periods of fieldwork in Afghanistan and Pakistan. While at City University, London she took an MA in Refugee Studies and Human Rights, a MsC is Social Research Methods and attended her doctoral studies focusing on migration decision-making.

In 2017, Assunta joined the Migration Museum as a volunteer engaging with the public, writing blogs and assisting the team wherever necessary. Following this experience, she expanded her interests to the intersection of migration issues and socially engaged arts while undertaking a course on curatorial practices at Central Saint Martins. She is currently part of the team who created, developed and delivered our TalkingART series of public conversations with curators and artists.
