Wanderers is a sculptural work consisting of more than 300 hand-made human figures that are all walking in the same direction.
At first glance, they appear to be a homogenous, threatening mass moving through the exhibition space, echoing the dehumanised language that many politicians and media outlets often use to depict migrants. On closer inspection, each figure emerges as a unique individual with its own personality.
